Serving is what her heart knows best. Her joy is found in offering hope and encouragement to the world with a bold faith. She loves leading her team of
unique and talented people at STAR 88.3 to further the Kingdom. She is also the founder of their annual Adoption Celebration and STAR’s Give Love Campaign.
Melissa has had the opportunity to interview thousands of guests locally as well as national and international leaders, authors and artists on her daily show, Conversations. One of her heart passions is to talk about unity and diversity that has allowed deep conversations to happen to help bring healing to the
community.
She is a bold, respected leader in the community and is called on frequently to
speak and minister, to lead in prayer gatherings and to host many events for
other non-profit organizations. Besides being a radio personality on the air daily
at STAR 88.3 and hosting her Conversations interview show, her voice is heard all
around the region for many businesses on hold, podcasts and TV. In 2021, she
was invited to host an international conference for Lead Like Jesus in Louisville,
KY, “live” on camera around the world. Melissa also just launched her new
podcast called MOVING MOUNTAINS with Melissa Montana and it's heard and seen on Apple, Spotify and YouTube.
Sixteen years ago, Melissa led an executive team in the purchase of STAR 88.3 in a
move that was unprecedented in the industry. It was a miracle. That put her in
the position of CEO and President of STAR Educational Media Network. Since
then, STAR is honored to have been recognized with numerous national and local
awards.
Her greatest joy on the earth is being a single adoptive Mom to her beautiful, now
26-year-old daughter, LaShay. Melissa has been at STAR for 35 years and feels like
it’s still new every day. God has more and the best is yet to come!
