Chili for Children

The Child Care Services Branch of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne is hosting our second Chili for Children fundraiser. The celebration will be held at the Lodge at Camp Red Cedar on October 19th. The purpose of this event is to raise funds that will assist low-income families with free or subsidized before and after school care as well as summer camp. Chili for Children will feature more than a dozen chili tasting stations with chili made by several fire stations from the Fort Wayne Fire Department (FWFD), and potentially other local businesses. Attendees will vote for the top firehouse chili as the FWFD and other contestants compete for the People’s Choice Award. Local celebrity judges will award prizes in three other categories. There will also be a dessert bar, alcoholic beverages, a silent auction, and live entertainment.
