Program Level: Level 1 Paths to QUALITY®

Reports To: Childcare Director
The Operations Manager supports the Director in managing the administrative and operational functions of the childcare center. The role ensures that daily processes run smoothly and that the program meets the basic health and safety standards required by Level 1 Paths to QUALITY® and Registered Ministry requirements. This is a full-time position, requiring iLead training, including safe sleep, along with CPR and First Aid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages ProCare Childcare Software Database
- Assist with enrollment, family communications, and record-keeping.
- Maintain up-to-date staff files, training documentation, and background checks.
- Monitor classroom ratios, staff schedules, and daily attendance.
- Support in ensuring facilities and classrooms meet all health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate staff onboarding, orientation, and training compliance.
- Assist with purchasing, budgeting, and supplying inventory.
- Help plan and facilitate parent engagement activities and internal events.
- Support the Director in implementing quality improvement practices in alignment with Level 1.
- Step into classrooms as needed to maintain licensing ratios.
- Fulfill required monthly fire drills for childcare.
- Act as a liaison between teaching staff and administration.
- Support the director in budget management, invoicing, and tuition collection.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Child Development Associate (CDA) or relevant coursework preferred.
- Experience in childcare or administrative roles is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Indiana’s Registered Ministry and Paths to QUALITY® standards is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with childcare management software.
