Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, and weed pulling
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as excavators to complete landscaping projects efficiently and safely
- Install hardscape features like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures with precision
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, planting, and removal to promote healthy growth and safety
- Support gardening efforts by planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and maintaining soil health through proper horticultural practices
Experience
- Prior experience with landscaping or lawn care is highly preferred; familiarity with landscape maintenance routines is essential
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to gardening equipment, irrigation systems, and construction machinery such as excavators is advantageous
- Hands-on experience using hand tools (shovels, rakes), power tools (trimmers, blowers), and heavy machinery (excavators)
- Understanding of horticulture principles including plant health care, soil management, and tree care techniques
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients on project requirements
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is often required; certifications in landscaping or construction are a plus
