General Manager Opportunity
The board of Dove’s Nest Thrift Shop of Fort Wayne, Indiana, is looking for a full-time
manager to assume managerial responsibilities for Dove’s Nest on March 1, 2026. Because
the proceeds of Dove’s Nest are used in support of the world-wide relief efforts of
Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), the candidate must actively support MCC’s mission.
The candidate must have retail management or thrift shop experience and the ability to
lead and manage paid staff and volunteers. He or she must understand accounting
software and be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite. Duties will include the day-today running of the store, making bank deposits, overseeing customer service, scheduling
volunteers and staff and overseeing the effective receiving, processing and merchandising
of Dove’s Nest donation flow. The manager is directly responsible to Dove’s Nest board and is responsible for hiring employees.
