Central Christian School seeks a passionate and qualified Special Education Teacher who is committed to integrating Christian faith into all aspects of teaching and student support. The teacher will work with FWCS to implement individualized education programs (IEPs), adapt curriculum for diverse learning needs, and foster a Christ-centered classroom environment that nurtures the spiritual, academic, and social growth of all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals.
- Assess students’ strengths and areas for growth using formal and informal assessments.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure inclusive education practices.
- Adapt instructional materials and teaching methods to meet students’ unique needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for IEP meetings, evaluations, and progress reports.
- Provide a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment rooted in Christian values.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development.
- Uphold the mission and values of the school and serve as a Christian role model for students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, accommodations, and differentiated instruction.
- Committed Christian who actively attends a Bible-believing church.
- Ability to integrate biblical worldview into academic content and classroom culture.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
