This is full-time teacher is responsible for managing and providing whole group and small group instruction to students. The teacher filling this position must be prepared to teach all core subjects including Bible to 3rd grade students. This individual will report directly to the building principal and will also:
- Provide strong instruction to students in a 90-minute reading block
- Facilitate guided reading groups during the 90-minute reading block
- Effectively communicate progress of students with parents, teachers, and administration
- Develop and use best practices to provide small group or individual instruction that leads to increased achievement in mathematics, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
- Effectively communicate with parents. Using newsletters, emails, and occasionally phone calls to best serve students and families.
- Be willing to plan collectively, but execute lessons that reflect teaching style of individual teacher.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal
- Provide a “clean” background check
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, Indiana Teaching License, Previous teaching experience is a strong preference
