Today on Conversations, Melissa Montana welcomes Jay Evans, The Rescue Missions Manager of Volunteer Engagement. The Rescue Mission is gearing up for one of its biggest holiday outreach events of the year: the annual Easter Meal, happening on Sunday, April 20. While dedicated volunteers will be preparing and serving meals, they’re also in need of energetic individuals to help manage traffic and keep everything running smoothly. Volunteer shifts are still available from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Last year, nearly 4,200 meals were served. This year, they expect to serve more than 4,500—offering not just a hot holiday meal, but a meaningful expression of hope, dignity, and compassion. Easter reminds us of the powerful hope found in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through this outreach, you have the privilege of sharing that hope with our neighbors in a tangible and heartfelt way. If you’re interested, visit https://fwrm.org/ for more information.
