Today on Conversations Kamia White, Educator, joins Melissa Montana to talk about kids behavior and what is really going on behind the scenes. It’s easy to jump to conclusions when a child is acting out, but what if we paused and took a moment to ask why they might be acting this way. Kids are often seen but not heard. Kamia recognized this need to listen to and dig deeper in students lives through her many years of teaching. Children need a voice and we need to allow them to share what’s going on in their life. They also need to feel emotionally, physically, and mentally safe. As adults it is up to us to provide opportunities for them to voice their thoughts and feelings.
