Residential Care Worker (Part-time)

The Youth Services Bureau of Jay County, Inc has multiple part-time positions available, potentially leading to full-time work, covering openings on all shifts in a residential setting as needed, consistent weekend hours available weekly or bi-weekly. Will be working with youth ages 10-19. Applicant must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license and be insurable.

Residential Care applicants must be willing to participate as a member of a team, hold youth accountable for behaviors, possess skills in re-direction and crisis intervention, follow specific rules/guidelines, and be able to think quickly on their feet. Residential Care applicants should expect to be on their feet for the majority of shifts worked attending to the numerous responsibilities of the position. Residential Care applicants must be able to role model appropriate behavior and socially accepted interaction 100% of the time. Residential Care applicants must be able to mentor the youth in care and develop appropriate and effective rapport with the youth in care. Minimum starting pay of $13 per hour. Part-time staff are given preference when filling full-time openings.

Experience/Certification Required:  Prefer a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or other related human service field, will accept resumes with a high school diploma or GED.
