Product Engineering Sourcing Lead

Midmark Corporation is seeking a full-time Product Engineering Sourcing Lead.

Responsible for planning, organizing and coordination of all purchasing activities relating to Product Engineering (PE) requirements. This is a multi-project based role supporting specific teams while incorporating sourcing standards set by Global Sourcing and overall company-wide business objectives.
Leads all quoting, contractual negotiations, and award of business for sourcing that meets company requirements for PE projects.
Drives cost reduction/improvement/avoidance/control throughout PE projects to facilitate the company’s competitive position.
Influences PE projects using concurrent engineering principles to leverage the supply base’s resources and proposing alternatives to product architecture and processes in order to achieve the best quality, lead times and cost.
Responsible for supplier risk assessment and mitigation through start of project to transition to production.
Coordinates successful completion of supplier approval process and production readiness. Assures that suppliers adhere to process, scope and timing of projects.
Maintains project purchased standard cost data and measurable relating to the same.
Leads engagement and communication with Commodity Sourcing Leads, Operation Buyers and Supplier Quality Engineer throughout the project for seamless transfer of PE project sourcing information.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering or related field; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
