Food Provider, Part Time
Position Title: Food Provider, Part Time (10 hours/week on average/variable)
The Food Provider is accountable to the Session through the Associate Pastor for Children, Youth and Families, the Personnel/Administration Committee; and is financed by the Building and Grounds Committee and reports to the Facility and Events Coordinator.
II. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Part-Time Food Provider is responsible for providing food and associated clean-up for church events requiring food or full meals, as scheduled with the Facility and Events Coordinator. Majority of the events occur in the evenings and on weekends.
Food Event Management
Prepare food for regular and other events (meals and receptions) such as monthly Session meals, Annual Korean Language Ministry Thanksgiving Dinner, Annual Meeting breakfast, and more as scheduled.
Meet with each food event requestor as provided by the Facility and Event Coordinator to determine type and source of food for event.
Provide food for every event unless caterer is required due to special request or schedule.
Ensure clean-up of kitchen: cookware, dishes, food storage, floors and sinks and all dishes from the dining area after conclusion of every event.
Purchase kitchen supplies, conduct inventories and maintain equipment to meet church standards and Board of Health Standards for cleanliness and safety in conjunction with Facility and Event Coordinator.
Maintain budget and cost management for Food and Supply.
Maintain record for all food events.
Coordinate with Facility and Events Coordinator and Committee Chair for adequate staff to prepare, serve and clean up after meetings and events and, if required, remain on-site to ensure efficient operations.

Appreciation and support of the theological beliefs of the Presbyterian Church as an expression of the Reformed faith, especially with regard to the interpretation of scripture, and the First Presbyterian Church Personnel Policy and Statement of Inclusiveness.
Openness and confidence in ability to relate to people of all types and differing views.
Must be ServSafe Certified at time of employment and maintain active status.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage several events simultaneously.
Flexible schedule to accommodate variety of events, including evenings and weekends.
Prior experience in facility, service or hospitality administration helpful.
