I have never seen my grandmother cry before and it stung my heart to see her that way.  Later, when she asked me to carry out his pen, she grew angry, slamming doors and saying things.  She blames my grandfather for this, because he couldn't move the mailbox, could he?  She is very, very upset and I didn't know what to say to her, I mean, her yorkie that she has had for ten years she had to put to sleep!  Please pray for her. Here is the latest post from his dad: ~ Hezekiah started out really well today, but dropped throughout the day. Unfortunately, he isn't doing very well right now. Once again, all of his doctors arrived at my room at the same time, but this time they all seemed to be at a loss for what to do. Test results are extremely perplexing. The doctors are pretty clueless as to what to do or treat for. All we know is that he didn't breath on his own at birth, has low tone, has seizures, and sub par brain activity. AT THIS POINT WE NEED A MIRACLE!! Reading Isaiah 38:1-9 entitled Hezekiah' s Illness and then the Hezekiah's writing of his illness and recovery was extremely powerful today. They had considered an artificial heart but her chest cavity is too small. The heart is too damaged to work with any VAD. They discovered that she is carrying a protein antigen that she developed from her first transplant that makes a second transplant nearly impossible. There is a process that they can perform to desensitize the protein, however, history has shown this process to take many, many months to be successful. Time Leah does not have. They gave her two options. Stay here in the hospital and live out or go home and live out. Leah was not willing to give up so easily. Her life has been nothing but miracles. She decided to stay here but fight. She is convinced that this heart will last until the new one comes. Our prayer is  that this heart sustains her long enough to let the desensitization process work quickly and effectively and then let the heart come. More to come later………………….. The cancer is very aggressive.  She starts intensive Chemo this Wed.  She is only 55.I pray selfishly for a miraculous healing for my mother.  However, we are trusting in God's perfect plan.  I pray for my mom's pain managment and pain tolerance through this all.  I pray for strength for my Dad to walk along side her through this all, and for him to closer in a relationship with God.  He says he's a believer, but doesn't exactly walk the walk.  My dad and I have a strained relationship due to him having an affair on my mom several years ago.  I pray that this situation will be the final step in forgiveness and that we can rely on one another as we walk through this.  I pray for quality time with my mom throughout all of this and for her quality of life.  She is an angel on earth.  A well of perpetual gratitude and joy.  I pray that she can maintain this attitude throughout. We were in the hospital for 2 weeks straight have been out for 2 weeks and getting ready to go back in for another week to get another round of chemo.  After his chemo treatments here we are being sent to Chicago for 4-6 weeks for a special type of rad.
