Wendy Spitznagel - Establishing a Healthy Lifestyle

Establishing an exercise program is easy to do, but maintaining a life-long exercise program isn't as easy. Today, Wendy Spitznagel, Executive Director of Healthy Living for the YMCA shares tips on how to make small sustainable changes in exercise which will enable one to establish a consistent exercise lifestyle. 

Wendy says the key to success is finding what you like to do for physical activity and then start with small attainable goals. Meeting small goals is encouraging and increases confidence and focus to keep going. Wendy also recommends that we are not to compare ourselves to others. The goal for consistency in daily exercise is looking at the long-term health benefits - physically, emotionally, and mentally.
