Parkview Dietitian, Sarah Mohrman gives important information to our listeners on the 7 Simple Steps designated by the American Heart Association to help prevent heart disease and stroke. 80% of all heart disease and strokes can be prevented by leading a healthy lifestyle and by receiving heart healthy education. 

The 7 simple steps include: managing blood pressure, controlling cholesterol, reducing blood sugar levels, eating better, exercising regularly, maintaining a healthy weight, and cessation of smoking.
