Sergeant Mitchell McKinney, President of Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) shares with listeners about the Blue Bucket Brigade. The Blue Bucket Brigade is a community awareness program collaborating the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Indiana and the FOP. Their slogan is, "Connecting our most trusted servants with our most vunerable youth."

The multi-year effort will raise awareness between these organizations and our at risk youth, their families, and the community. The effort will open doors and build bridges among these organizations as well as enhance and expand numerous existing programs. Building positive relationships and mutual respect is anticipated due to a reduction in violent, and solutions to conflicts between law-enforcement and our at risk youth.

Law enforcement officials and members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne will collect donations at area Walmart stores using the blue buckets mid-May through Labor Day as well as at other community events.
