Flo Bear - American Heart Association Ball
Heart disease is the #1 killer for men and women nationwide. The American Heart Association's mission is to bring awareness of heart disease to the public and to share preventative measures that can be taken to greatly reduce the risk of heart disease.
Flo Bear, Corporate Events Director of the AHA encourages listeners to know their cholesterol and blood pressure numbers. Knowing your numbers and taking the initiative to lower numbers where necessary can be the difference between life and death.
The Annual AHA Ball will take place on Friday, May 11 at the Grand Wayne Center. This fundraiser event is a time of celebrating what the AHA has done in the past year with programs in the hospitals and schools in our area. The event will also bring awareness to heart disease and stroke, as well as sharing inspirational survivor stories. The AHA Ball begins with a cocktail reception at 7 p.m. followed by a dinner and program. There will also a live auction following the program.
