Lighting Sales

Established home design company in the Fort Wayne area is seeking an outgoing, organized, professional and teachable individual with sales experience to join our team in a Showroom Lighting Sales position.  This position averages 30-36 hours/week and primarily works with customers.  The ability to interact easily and develop customer relationships will be a key component to this role.


Qualifications:


• Lighting experience helpful but not required
• Process and detail oriented
• Outgoing - ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of customers

• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Teachable / eager with a passion for service.
• Good computer skills - Microsoft Office 
• Ability to work independently & as an effective team player 
• Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Ability to enter data, navigate screens and retrieve data in point-of-sale system

Key Functions:


• Sell residential, landscape and commercial lighting products
• Assist walk-in and phone customers with product selection

• Review customer construction drawings and suggest proper lighting products/design
• Enter orders and bids into computer
• Monitor builder's project budget allowance
• Communicate customer selection status to builder as required
• Generate customer product delivery documentation
• Monitor product inventory status and pricing
• Assist in maintaining a clean and neat showroom
