Title: Maintenance Technician
Description: Position Overview: This position is responsible for making repairs and maintaining buildings on the Fort Wayne campus. This position reports to the Project Manager/Trade Supervisor.
Essential Job Functions:
• Maintain University buildings
• General construction for special projects
• Basic plumbing repair
• Basic electrical repair
• Basic carpentry repair
• Preventative maintenance on buildings and systems
Secondary Job Functions
• Snow removal
• Grounds maintenance
• Pager duty
• Event set-ups
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
• High school education or equivalency
• Driver’s license
• Basic electrical, carpentry and plumbing skills
• Knowledge of power tools
• Construction experience preferred
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Ability to use computers
• Ability to work with students, faculty/staff, outside customers and contractors

Work Schedule: This is a full time, non-exempt position. Forty (40) hours per week will be the general rule. However, depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the University, additional hours of workday schedule evenings and weekends may be required.
Salary Range: $14.91 – $18.27 per hour
